This is one of the standard lines I say every day and night. Although I don’t say it much in the mornings, I find myself saying it every night. It’s just so hard to get my kids to brush their teeth before bedtime. They seem to have millions of excuses not to brush their teeth. Somehow, it’s easier to get them to brush their teeth in the mornings since they really need to do it before they go to school. But it’s a different story before bedtime.
An article on parentingsquad.com has some doable tips to get the kids to brush their. I only wish I’d known about it earlier. It would have really helped me a lot with my kids. But it’s better late than never. Here are the super doable tips that can get our kids to brush their teeth.

Show Your Kids You’re Doing It Too
This is an eye-opener for me. I didn’t think I had to model something so mundane. Again, I took it for granted that kids should actually see other people do it first. I had been so busy nagging them that I didn’t even bother to show them that I brush my teeth as well.
Make It Fun
This makes sense. Instead of nagging them, I should have thought of a better way to get them to brush their teeth. It makes a lot of sense to make it fun for them. Now, why didn’t I think of that?
Get The Toothpaste Your Kids Like
I have been doing this as well. Getting the right toothpaste for my kids motivates them to brush their teeth. So I make sure they get the flavor they like.

There are a lot of cute flosses nowadays. They come in cool colors and flavors. Just like the flavorful toothpaste, the cool flosses also motivate my kids to brush their teeth.
Keep Track Of It
The toughest time to get my kids to brush their teeth is when they’re sleepy. It’s so hard to wake them up to get them to brush their teeth. No matter how many times I tell them to brush their teeth earlier, they never seem to follow. They always end up sleeping without brushing their teeth. Keeping track of the times they brush their teeth and rewarding them for it is one good way to motivate them to get up from bed to brush their teeth. Creating a rewards chart to keep track of the times they brush their teeth sounds like a good idea. Related read: Save money on sitters in your City
